What is falling apart? The plastic cover or the cardboard box?

Re: rear locking glove box

Its the cardboard part. I thought about just cutting it off but then things would rattle if I stored them in the rear quarter panel. JamesC, it would seem every one I find in the junk yard is in worst or the same condition as the one I have.

Re: rear locking glove box

Can you use your old tattered one as a pattern to make up a new one using art board or similar material?

Re: rear locking glove box

As I recall there are sheet metal nuts that thread onto plastic studs on the back side of the plastic interior trim panel. You should get the special tool that presses into the sheet metal nut to remove them. Otherwise do your best using s pair of pliers or vise grips.
