Remove light cover,then remove the light, then remove the two "clips on each of the roof studs. Light should be loose at this point.

Those "pins" holding the bulb assembly to the roof just unscrew
with the help of vicegrips or pliers.
They are threaded on the other end..............

My TTop car had rivets and I cut them out with a grinder, then I put it all back with screws which work well.
