Seats -- Stock or Custom?

I'm redoing my 88 IROC and really want it like it used to be.. but, man it's a tough call on seats. Do I got back to stock.. make it like it was.. or go leather/vinyl and make it more like it might be if made today? Tough call.. opinions?

Check

Lethalinteriors

If you want custom. Her user name here is

thecovergirl

There are a few cars here that had her covers made & they look very nice!!

I got extra passenger seats & had the covers swapped onto the driver side.

Then theres 1AAuto, Hawks, etc. that have covers also.
Maybe try thirdgenranch..?.. Denny **may** have factory, IDK.

Re: Seats -- Stock or Custom?

If the seats are going to be reupholstered, than go ahead and upgrade the materials, they are a small cost compared to the labor.
You are in Texas, right? Isn't there an upholstery shop on every block?

Re: Seats -- Stock or Custom?

Just a thought, I found a great set of black 4th gen leather rear seats on Craigs list a few years ago for my 91RS, I've looked at all the front seat options from recovering to 4th gen to corbeau etc and at one of our club events this year a guy had the Summit $200 black vinyl front seats in his 2nd gen they looked fine, I hopped in and checked them out, Nice, in my opinion. Clean look and comfortable and affordable. My car is far from stock so it all depends what your objectives are, just do what works for you! Good Luck
