Re: Let see some after market gauges/ pods.
I posted this a while back in another thread.

Autometer pod, Stewart Warner Heavy Duty gauges, clock and vacuum.
I wanted a clock but felt just the one "gauge" would look kind of weird. I choose the vacuum gauge because it's kind of old school (no one runs them anymore unless there's boost).
I went with a screw-on pod because the full pillar sat tight against the dash pad (no good, IMO). I pitched the supplied plastic push-in fasteners and instead used black oxide button head screws.

Re: Let see some after market gauges/ pods.
I used the overlays and they seem to have a short life expectancy. I have also been through three gauge clusters which is why I decided to make my own custom gauge cluster with good gauges. The tachometers went bad and I had a few of the buld sockets start to go. I still have some white face blue glow backgrounds if anyone wants them for free plus shipping.

Tibo please elaborate on the life expectancy issue. Do they peel up, fade, turn funny colors ? I'm interested before I do something.

I'll be doing a custom dash this winter and am collecting information.
Thanks.

Well, I can't speak for all clusters but 90-92 Camaro you cannot reuse anything. You either use the entire stock cluster or none of it.

Re: Let see some after market gauges/ pods.
My problems were with the glow overlays. The first set bubbled and caused the needle(s) to temporarily hang up and the second set seemed to develop a short in the overlay causing it to flicker or just not come on. My third set lasted until I did my custom gauge cluster. I had a set of plain white face overlays and as I recall they worked OK.

Re: Let see some after market gauges/ pods.
I just received my triple from speedhut for 64 shipped. Fits real nice on the pillars. Now I think I'm going to go with glow shift guages. I like these because when they are off there face is black. Anyone use these before?
