Gas Pedal Clip Spring

Hello Everyone,

This is my first post. My son and I are restoring a 1984 Z28 HO. He is on the board as well. The car was missing a gas pedal, so I went to a junk yard and managed to get the gas pedal, the connecting pin, and the spring clip. Of course, I should have taken a picture of it assembled before removing it. The spring clip is essentially shaped like a V with one leg of the V having a straight edge while the other leg has a hooked clip that attaches to the throttle arm. I remember the hook clip was faced towards the driver seat when I removed it.

The short story is I cannot remember which way the damn thing goes on to provide the proper tension for the gas pedal. If anyone can help me, I would really appreciate it.

Thanks in advance.

EDIT: I found a thread that had a diagram of the spring clip: https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/inte...tor-pedal.html. Problem solve, and thanks.
