My car is missing everything for the heating/AC systems, no dash console or core, pump etc. What would be the cheapest route of creating one? Finding parts, and trying to assemble it, or finding a donor car (maybe even a 4th gen, thinking about a dash swap in the future) and using that system? Any help/ideas are greatly appreciated.

If you find one in the wrecking yard or a donor car would be best.
you do have 3 choices:
1. Heat only
2. A/C and Heat
3. Electronic Controlled A/C and Heat

A/C and Heat are going to be the most commonly found.
If 1 4th gen dash swap is going to be incorporated,
I have read both keeping the 3rd gen heater box
as well as going to a 4th gen system.

 

So if I did a 4th gen dash swap, I would need both systems, or just specific parts? But I could use most of the 4th to get it working, and then some parts from the 3rd?

 

I think I have all the ducting for a 3rd gen if you need it
