headers wich size? and cutout fitment

Hi, i have a 87 trans am with 350tpi i was planning on putting a magnaflow Cat back http://www.summitracing.com/int/part...6829/overview/

and replacing the cat by a cut out http://www.summitracing.com/int/part...30cp/overview/

i guess i would have to home made pipe to fit the cut out between y pipe and cat back?

And what size and brands of headers should i put on? i would go shortys but should i put 1 5/8 or 1 3/4 and what size collector 2 1/2 or 3'' ? did it have fitment issues with 3'' collector? Thanks!

Re: headers wich size? and cutout fitment

if you have enough engine (HP) the bigger the better the engine will breath, if you have around stock (HP) I wouldn't go with the larger header tubes smaller is better same with the collector size
