I am replacing missing parts in 1986 iroc with t-tops. I need the dome light but dont know what was orginally in there. I know it did not have the full overhead console but unsure if it was just the plain dome light or dome light with the two little map lights in it?? anybody know what was original for that year?? Thanks alot!

 

Either one was available in 86 for the Firebirds,so I would assume the same go's for the Camaro's.

 

i could be wrong but i belive the one with the map lights was part of the deluxe interior option the one without was the standered interior dome light

 

Your wiring will tell you.

If the wiring / bulb socket is still on the roof then look for a small 2-pin connector. ( Orange and a Black wires ) If there is a connector there then it's the Duel map light dome lens,... if there's no small connector than it's a standard dome light.

If your wiring is missing just install the correct matching harness and you can install any dome light you want.

Be advised; Dome light-to-dash wiring changed a couple times from year to year !
