floor pan question

I have a few small holes in my pans I was wondering what gauge steel they are so I can put some patchpanals in they aren't enough to replace the pans just like little ones the size of quarters.

Re: floor pan question

I used 18 ga on the quarters, should be correct for floors too.

Re: floor pan question

You mean fender wells?
I think so. As far as I can tell, all the body is made from something near 18 gu. I don't think it's exactly 18 gu. When I tried to measure it, it appeared to be close, but slightly thinner than 18, but thicker than 20. I haven't measured it all over, but it looks the same everywhere, they just used more layers in some places. I have only done welding patches on the quarters so that's the only place I've tried. I tried to research what guage the body is made out of but didn't find any definitive answers. All the general info I found on quater panel welding said use 18 gu, cold rolled.
