Headlight **** symbol faded
On my 91, the headlight **** is completely faded of the light icon. My cigarette lighter **** and switches all look very good. Seems like the light **** fading is a common issue wearing down over time. I have seen the earliar flat ***** available like new. I have the rounded type and from those I have seen for sale they're not in any better shape than mine. Anyone know if there is a way to fix it maybe a label or a service that will restore it? Mine was the yellow. I thought about trying a skilled hand at painting it if i didnt have the shakes from beer.
Any help is appreciated.

You can try camarocentral.com and see if they have a new-old-stock one. I'd recommend trying your hand with a marker of the right color and then maybe put a thin coat of some kind of clear on it to make it last.

Tried, seems to be a hard item to find especially in yellow. Even the photo down on the page listed for sale at hawk's 3rd gen looks like used up like mine.

I restored mine.. It took a while but it looked freaking awesome. I carefully cut out grooves of were the old symbol was. Then I filled in the grooves with the wife's nail paint and put a clear coat of paint over the whole thing. It sucked that its in the Camaro I sold about a year ago. I'll try to find some picks.

I gave it a shot at painting. What I did was used a small jewelers screwdriver to trace and scribed the outline of the headlight icon, painted it then used a toothpick to remove any paint outside the scribed outline. This is what it turned out like.
