4th gen dash back to thirdgen

Okay guys. So this will probably be for the guys that have done the fourth-generation dash swap. But everyone's input is appreciated. I recently acquired a 1988 iroc-z that someone did a swap on. I'm not quite sure if I like it yet. If I decide to go back to the old dash (I have everything needed from my 87) how hard would it be? The 87 was a 305 carb. The 88 is the lb9 305 tpi.

I don't foresee any issues. Everything dash wise is completely swappable from the 87 into the 88. Only issue could be tach/mph? I am not sure on that though, maybe someone else could chime in.

After which, you can sell that 4th gen dash for some $$$

Thats kinda where I was at too. I didn't think there would be any issues. But before I start ripping into it, wanted to see what others thought. The speedo are both cable driven, however would probably be off depending on what speedo the 88 had. Tach I believe are all electronic regardless.
Would definitely sell the new dash to get some cash back in my pocket. Along with the ram air hood. Have never been a big fan.
It funny, I always wanted to do the dash swap in the 87, but never did. Now that I have it, not sure if I want it. I like clean lines, and theres just too many gaps by the pillars. And the transition between the dash and door is just gross. Would probably enjoy it better if it had (and if I could find) 4th gen door panels. lol.
Anyways, I'm rambling.
Anyone else have any input. I'm more so worried if any mount were pounded in, or something stupid like that.

I wasnt able to get the dash to fit center with the factory lower dash mounts. I had to cut them out. Not sure how that guy did it but there could be some work involved. Only god knows what was done to the wiring.
