power locks
I knew the power locks on the driver side required you to press it 2x before it would lock but the passenger side worked perfectly...about 2 months ago they passenger side was like the drivers side...installed an alarm about 6 weeks ago and I would lock the car and both would actually lock right away but now they dont even tho the alarm is still "armed" the doors wont lock...jus wondering if anyone has a solution or advice thanks

Re: power locks
If you can heaR each lock motor operating then you will have to remove the
door panel and clean all the gunk off the lock rods and relube them with white
or red grease lube and check for lock rods binding in their sliders.
Had to do the same in my 84.

Re: power locks
Cleaning up everything in there does wonders. That means the latch mech too. The grease is 20 some years old as well. It dries up and gets gummy, dirt gets in it. Get all that crud out with some degreaser or carb cleaner and lube it with lithium grease.

Re: power locks
Make sure the electrical connections are clean as well. The relay ground, switch and connections to the actuators are good place to look at after doing the cleaning mentioned above.
