odd interior question

Ok so I have a 92 camaro rs and my interior is grey, but the plastics in the backseat area with the armrest doesnt match the rest of the plastics exactly.. they seem to have a slight blue-ish tint to them, (best way I can describe it) its not just my car, I have been to junkyards and seen the same thing. But on some 3rd gens I have seen this pice of plastic match perfect and be the same color grey as the rest of the plastics, mainly the big piece that the rear speaker is in just because those two plastics overlap each other. Anyone else seen this or know what im talking about or know why they are a shade color different?

Re: odd interior question

Is it sunfaded? I've seen some grays that have faded into having a bluish hue to them.

Re: odd interior question

No not sunfaded..as I stated, I have seen them numerous ones on other cars and junkyard cars that are bluish tint and seen some that are just grey. You really wouldnt even notice it unless you knew about it or starred at it for awhile

Re: odd interior question

I've seen cars w/various hues/shades/color combos etc over the years. sometimes i do believe it is color fade/sun, other times, maybe part exchanges when folks redid their interiors etc. who knows

Sounds like sun fade. There are a few threads on how to repaint the panels to make them look like new
