Classic Industries Headliner kit..a First Impression
This is just my first impressions of the Hard Top Headliner/ Sail Panel/ Sunvisor kit I got form Classic Industries for under $200. I have not re-done my headliner yet, even though the material came in the kit. I am just showing the color matching, etc. Just my opinions on this kit. Keep in mind the pictures still show the original headliner.
Sunvisors
Probably the biggest issue with the whole thing. I ordered the hard top kit, but they sent me t-top style sunvisors. Either there is no "hardtop" version available or they oopsied. I just kinda worked them a little to flatten them out some and they look pretty good. I am not going for a Pebble Beach Concourse car, just something that looks better than what I have. The finish is excellent on them, and the color is pretty much spot on.
Install is the same as the factory ones. Just loosen the tensioning screw (DO NOT REMOVE IT) and slide it on the supports. Tighten screw.

Sail Panels
A lot of people have said that the Sail Panels in these kits require velcro, double sided tape, glue, etc to secure them. Either I got lucky or they changed the design because mine had the factory style hooks on the back. No velcro. Once again color and finish is very good. The speaker area does not have that grill pattern like the stockers do. Instead its just a hole with a simple bar going across the middle. I did not have to cut out anything to get them to fit around my aftermarket speakers (your mileage may vary on this).
Install is easy. Just slide them on. Use an awl to punch a hole in the fabric for the hook screw to go, and tighten it down.

Please excuse my crappy headliner, hopefully it will be fixed shortly.
Over all I find this kit to be of excellent quality, and the fit and finish is very good. With the exception of the sunvisor issue, I would highly recommend it. I am not looking at grain direction or any of that purist stuff, just simple looks and feel. And they are quite good.
If you have any questions please feel free.

I have been very happy with their headliner and sunvisors. I bought mine with the first version of the sail panels that required velcro. They sucked beyond belief so I just recovered my old ones with the supplied extra material. I may buy the new ones with the new design hooks like yours. That's odd about them sending you the visors for a t-top.
Oh yea, once you get your headliner out of the box, make sure you leave it out in the sun for an hour or two depending how hot out it is so that it can fully unfold and you get a nice fit.
There may be a fitment issue with the curve on the overhead console. Mine had a gap on either side by where the swivel light is. I just used some old dash pad rubber mounts to push the headliner down so the gap would be removed. And...dont tear up your old headliner as you are going to need to use is as a template to mark and cut the holes for the roof console.

The kit I got just came with the headliner material to recover the stock headliner. Im gonna wait until I get my 4th gen seat belt replacements before I do it.
Iv heard if your remove the screw the pieces that hold the screw tensioner thingy together will come apart inside the visor. Just what Iv been told.

When I recovered the my visors. There was a plastic sleeve that goes on the pin, that goes into the visor.Nothing fell off/into the visor though & I had them bare till I stitched the new material on.There is a metal bracket attached to the particle board/visor.

I even bought those plastic pieces from Lon at TDS in case my new visors ever got sloppy again... Thread
