5th gen wheel

I have been searching around this section for a while now and can't seem to find any info pertaining to someone swapping a 5th gen steering wheel into their car. Has anyone tried it? My current one is pretty worn out and I like the way the new ones feel and I found one on cl if someone can say whether or not it will fit

Re: 5th gen wheel

With enough time/patience/money anything will fit. Will it direct bolt on? Highly doubt it. Will the airbag/steering wheel controls work? Not a chance. Will it look good? No.

This steering wheel? I would love to see that as a novelty. I would try to convert the switches for use with power windows or door locks. They make bluetooth steering wheel control kits [pause, volume, skip track, etc.] that stick/velcro onto your steering wheel. I'd attempt to disassemble it and rewire some of the steering wheel controls to the bluetooth board.

However, I can't find any information on the diameter of the steering wheel hub...

If you manage to get it to work, that thing will be hidious. It doesn't flow with the 3rd gen's interior at all.

^ +1. It just doesn't feel right. I do like the look of some of the grant steering wheels. So much cheaper, and we know it works. :P

Yes that one. Except the one I found was an ss wheel. I get it doesn't flow at all I just like the way it feels a lot better than my current wheel with its crumbling leather and hard plastic
