Speedometer stopped working? Help!

Speedometer stopped working? Help!
89 camaro v6 2.8 mpfi
So my speedometer recently kicked the bucket, but before it completely stop working the needle would jump around and occasionally wouldn't work, until it finally stopped working completely.. all other gauges work fine.
What would cause it to stop working?
I've read that you have to replace the speed sensor, but not sure exactly where located I heard on the back of the cluster.
I replaced the yellow box on the back of it with three wires no luck..
The picture I provided was not taken by me. It was taken by a member of thirdgen.org, but my cluster looks the same.
