4th Gen TA Console in 3rd Gen TA?

Hey, has anyone had experience putting a 4th Gen center console in a 3rd Gen TA?

Someone before me tried to fix/glue the center console, and it's not looking very good at the moment!

I looked for a used console on ebay, but I wasn't very interested in paying $100+ for a console that still needs to be fixed!

So, I've been eyeing this 4th Gen Console on craigslist for a couple months now, is it possible to fit this console in my '87 TA?
Thanks guys!

Is it possible? Yes, but it will take a lot of work because the shifter will have to be moved to line up with the shifter plate. Most guys who do this, myself included, get the manual consoles so no modifications are necessary. Also, the 97?-02 consoles have extra cup holders.
