I wish this was in the faq
but my parents bought a 1987 camaro brand new and i cant find the build sheet
where would it be in the car? its not under the drivers front or back seat of the front pass seat
Hi, when I bought my '88 Trans Am I got the window sticker or dealer invoice whichever you want to call it from PHS. That was about 20 years ago so I don't know if that service is still available. But to answer your question I found a build sheet behind the tail panel interior panel. Hope this helps, RonM.
There's as much chance it's in the car as it could be rotting in a dump since 1987 ^^
They can be anywhere, but on 3rd gens, the most common place seems to be under the carpet. Unfortunately, unless the car has been kept in a dry environnement, you'd be lucky to be able to recover it. They're often stuck hard to the floor.
Most members find them stuck up under the front passenger seat in the frame, or they could have been removed buy the Dealer as were mine. But they could be anywhere in the car.I think the Factoy played hide and seek with those.
I got lucky with my Camaro and found it under the carpet behind the drivers seat.
I replaced the carpet recently as there were water marks in pretty much every well where the T-tops leak. It must have been the only section of the floor that hadn't got majorly wet and the sheet is in pretty good condition and completely readable. I searched online and the dealership is still there.
I've scanned it in and will put up a picture when I get back home from work.
