Re: seat belts
Best bet is to grab both driver and passenger from a 4th gen from a parts yard, bolts right in and works with the third gen male end. I just did that and spend like 16 bucks total! Pretty cheap!

Re: seat belts
Go to your local pic n pull................
Almost any late 70s early 80s GM car seatbelt female "recievers" will work on
our third gens. I scored a set of real metal and chrome recievers with the
plastic support sleeves out of a Oldsmobile for $10 bucks......................
Easy fix!
Why rebuy the 80s plastic junk from another cam/bird ????

Re: seat belts
Problem with the stiff from 70s 80s is the plastics can be brittle for the supports. I do like the idea of the metal clasps though.

Re: seat belts
The seat belts changed, I believe in 84, the actual "tongue" and receiver shapes are different and will not work with one another. I figured this out going around between 3 different 3rd gens in a scrap yard, one of which was a 15th anniversary car, totally different receiver. So therefore, a blanket statement of any 70s-80s GM car seat belt isn't totally correct.

Re: seat belts
I guess you NON-readers MISSED the word ALMOST in my post..................
My 72 Pontiac, 94 Buick and 84 Z have the SAME size male buckle end so either
female reciever would be interchangeable!
Simple common sense and careful measuring of the stock male ends and
junk yard recievers will result in success....................
