Non-Tilt to Tilt Column Swap Questions

On Monday I pulled a tilt column out of an 87 Camaro to put in my 88 Camaro. When I pulled the column, I disconnected the ignition switch and interlock cable from the column to pull it from the firewall and meant grab it later. I was not familiar with the interlock cable and noticed that it bolted to the firewall and then and then ran under the carpet - at the time I didn't realize what it was and that it attaches to the shifter. In my haste to get out of the searing heat Monday, I forgot to grab the ignition switch and interlock cable. I know the ignition switches are different from non-tilt to tilt and had planned on buying a new one anyway but what about the interlock cable. Do they interchange between the two columns or do I need to go back and get it?

The column I pulled came from a car with 2.8 and auto O/D (same as mine) - the turn signal stalk has cruise control and intermittent wipers. My Camaro has neither. I don't really need them but if not too difficult I may consider. How much trouble is it to get the factory parts from the donor car to install the cruise control? I saw in another post that there's a black box under the dash - besides the hard parts under the hood what other wiring is involved?

I realize I would need a different wiper motor but is the wiring or connector different (besides the turn signal stalk)?

Should I just swap the turn signal stalks and forget about cruise control and intermittent wipers?

Thanks,

Eric
