Choke light/relay
Choke light/relay
I've never seen my choke light turn on, not even when i turn the key. I read that it turns on when the oil pressure is low and when the alternator is bad or something. My last alternator was bad and my car has been leaking oil and its never turned on. Checked the choke fuse and it's good. Now I'm wondering if i need a new relay, but is it supposed to be in the convenience center because I only have a flasher, buzzer, and horn relay. Thanks in advance.

Re: Choke light/relay
It could be as simple as a bulb. I spent hours and $$$ worrying about that dang light, changed choke heater, alternator, bulbs, wiring to no avail. Mine would randomly go on and off. If your choke works and your alternator puts out 12-15 volts to the battery and your oil pressure is good. FORGET IT.
