creative performance gauge placements

Hey everyone! Im currently working on an engine swap and would like to keep the exterior and interior as stock as possible (think sleeper). I need a couple of extra gauges, mainly boost and A/F ratio gauges. I dont want them to be overly noticeable. Any ideas on how to hide them or at least disguise them? I am mounting my scanmaster inside the ashtray so I can close the lid and it disappears.

Re: creative performance gauge placememts

I suppose I could mount the gauges inside the console, but thats not ideal for viewing while driving. Has anyone hidden a gauge behind the A/C vents?

What about mounting under the AC vent.....if you mount in the AC vent and still want to run your AC, maybe cut holes in the underside and mount fixed adjustable vents (hot rod style) so you can still enjoy the AC....at my age I need to stay cool

Thats an idea! I had thought my gauges would be small enough to fit both into just one of the ac vents but thats not going to work. If I upgrade my scanmaster with a powerlogger, it can be used to display more features like boost and a/f ratio, but you can only view one at a time.
