Seat Mounts

Anyone ever come up with a fix for this problem other than replacing the floor pan or grinding down and welding a new stud?

Bolts coming up from the rib attached to the floor pan have rusted and snapped off when removing the nut that holds down the seat. In red circles.

Re: Seat Mounts

I know it is crude, but the previous owner of my Firebird drilled a hole through the floorboard and installed one of the seat rails with a long bolt and washer from below.

Re: Seat Mounts

This has recently happened to me. I'm looking to repace the brace/mount but have no luck get sourcing one. GL

Re: Seat Mounts

It appears that your floor is in pretty good shape, I would tack weld new studs down.

Same with mine. No complaints going about it that way to be honest.
