Performed steering column writeup, and still no change

I performed the steering column writeup yesterday, and noticed the metal inside the column appeared ripped, down inside where you locktite/tighten the bolts. I did the whole procedure anyways, hoping the torn metal was supposed to be that way. The steering wheel still moves just to the left about 6 inches from center. Long story short, i think i need a new steering column. Is there any good aftermarket columns that are close to bolt in? Im a total noob, so any info would be appreciated. My car is an AT with tilt/cruise, and wipers. I would like to retain most/all of that while going aftermarket. Can this be done?
