Seat Fabric-How much required?

Got my sample from SMS in the mail. My seats are fine but I really want to get the Camaro, Camaro, Camaro covering for all my seats.
My question is how many yards of material to do the full front and back seats?

Be careful with sms. They have very slow service, and it took me a month, and me starting a PayPal investigation to get my cloth.

Re: Seat Fabric-How much required?

I think you need 42 Camaros including door panels. With that said I'd go 1 1/2 yards if they'll sell 1/2 yards.

Re: Seat Fabric-How much required?

So it sounds like what you are saying is they only sell the Camaro's separately? I am looking to cover the whole seats. I'll try to find a pic of the seats so I can show everyone what I want to match mine to.

No. they do not sell the CAMAROs separately. You will need a roll large enough to have the same color CAMARO at the top of each seat and door panel. I think 1.5 yards is correct, but I don't know for sure. I have two pieces that have 54 CAMAROs (3 rows of 18) each.

You will need the Camaro material, then the regular non camaro material for the rest of the seat, sides, back. I had no problem with SMS, but that was a few years ago. Scottmoyer I think had an ebay contact that may be able to save you some money.

Let's qualify a few things.
Do you have Lear Siegler seats?
Are you trying to make a custom interior?
Are you trying to go with a unique color combination?

If you gave the real Lear Siegler seats, just buy complete seat covers from Hawk's & be done.

Re: Seat Fabric-How much required?

No I have regular OEM seats. I just want that look of the 3 CAMARO's logo. Black and
Silver is the colour scheme I have seen. Just love the look of those seats so
Looking to duplicate them!

I'm being serious. It might be a cheaper average to buy some Lear Siegler Conteur seats for a core & buy the pre-made covers.
Does SMC Have the black & grey material? I got a sample of another color & seems a little bit different than my NOS material

Re: Seat Fabric-How much required?

I'll price the necessary material to get what I want and decide form there. I believe the material is $97 per yard. Thanks for the input.

Re: Seat Fabric-How much required?

That's just for the center sections, then material for everything else plus piping. Then find someone to make the patterns OR are you just going to have the material sewn in existing seats?

Re: Seat Fabric-How much required?

I was thinking of just having the material Sewn into the seats. I realized when I posted this that it was going to be alot of work. But that scheme is just plain deadly
Looking. There's a real good shop at home here and I know he could handle the task.
