Does a 90-92 instrument panel fit a 89 Camaro?

Does a 90-92 instrument panel fit a 89 Camaro?

Hello everyone.

Im new here, I don't normally post because I'm usually able to find everything by searching through the forums. I just haven't been able to find any info on the instrument panel or wiring for the dash here.

My question is this:
Can i use the lower part of the dash (instrument panel I believe) from a 1990-92 Camaro rs on a 1989 Camaro Iroc Z?

The 90-92 Dash housing is not a 'direct fit' swap. The only way the 90-92 dash housing will mount to a 82-89 car is if the mounting brackets that are spot welded to the body are removed and replaced with the proper ( 90-92 ) mounting brackets.

Don't forget that there is likely to be a lot of wiring changes too so changing the bracket so the dash housing will fit is just the first step !!
