Can someone please help me with my dash?

Hello my name is John I have a 1992 Chevrolet Camaro RS. I am having problems with my dash. When I start and drive the car the dash lights come on and everything works except the oil pressure gauge(not hooked up) and my fuel gauge goes up alittle. Then when I turn my headlights on all of my gauges cut out but the panel lights up still. Can someone please help me. Thank you in advance.

Is this an unmolested stock car or a modified car (what has been altered) or a trashed car where the wiring is birds'nests with multiple splicing?

Of the top of my head I would say you it sounds like a bad connection. Do all of the interior and exterior lights and devices work normal even when the dash is having issues? It's probably an issue on the power side as opposed to the negative side.

Yes all I did was change the engine to a carb car. Everything else works fine it's just the dash. Idk if it has something to do with the vats or not I bypassed the starter relay so I can start the car other than that it won't start with out it

If it worked fine before you changed engines then it may be just a loose ground at the back of one of the heads or firewall. Could also be a ground that isn't connected.

Did you change the wiring harness in the engine bay or alter it? Again, I would double check all the ground connections on the back of the heads and firewall. Look for any dangling wires.
