Re: Aftermarket seats
I believe you need to buy the optional seat frames from any of the big seat manufacturers to bolt into a thirdgen chassis.
These brackets http://www.sportseats4u.co.uk/plante...prod_5088.html say they work with Corbeau, Cobra, Recaro and Sparco seats and the thirdgen chassis.

Re: Aftermarket seats
corbeau a4 wide seats, corbeau brackets. Be advised you will sit higher. You can cut 1" of foam off the bottom of the seats though. All you need is hog ring pliers and some hog rings and it's an easy job.

Re: Aftermarket seats
I put in Sparco R100 seats.
Funny thing is that the slider mounting holes in the front line up with the mounting holes of the original seats! For the passenger side I reused the mounting plates which are just spot welded to the sliders of the original seats and spot welded them on the universal sliders. Bolts right in.
For the driver side I couldn't use this method as the original GTA seat of my car is fully adjustable. So i just used some flat steel, wide enough to actually mount the universal sliders to the flat steel and just drilled the holes of the original mounting bolts on the car. Actually same technique as the Knight Designs Seat Extension Brackets:
This made it fairly easy to add the seats and with the mod on the driver side I'm now also able to move back the seat even more for us 1,83m drivers :-)
with this mod you also will not really loose much headroom. maybe 8mm from the steel plate.
