Re: Jegs perfect touch up paint

I have used a can of their paint on my Silverado to fix a minor place. The paint (Victory Red) matched very well.

I used their White(WA8554) on my TA under the hood and it was a perfect match.
You can get that paint at Pep Boys and Advance Auto also.

Re: Jegs perfect touch up paint

If i were you, instead of using perfect match, order from automotive touch up. All you need is your paint code and it will be a much closer match than perfect match.

Re: Jegs perfect touch up paint

go to napa with your paint code. I got a can of flame red metallic mixed in an aerosol can for less than $10, and its a perfect match

Not sure about Maui Blue, but DupliColor's Bright Red was a perfect match for my '91 RS, despite its half dozen different paint/blend jobs.

I used Duplicolor Bright Red on my T/As Bright Red battery tray, and it's a pretty good match, especially for a dark corner of the engine compartment.

Re: Jegs perfect touch up paint

So i finally bought the product above and have been back and forth about using it. This is what the cap looks like compared to my car. Not even close. However the can does say its a match for my car which is code 9537. I guess the only way to know for sure is to test it out.

Try it under the hood inside door jam where it's not so conspicuous.

Re: Jegs perfect touch up paint

Make sure it's the right one again. Artic white has 3 or 4 different versions in rattle can, as I experienced. Where it says medium, there is probably light, and heavy. Also different areas of the car may have sun fading etc.
Or perfect match isn't a perfect match lol

Remember your car color is 26-27 years old.

Tried it out. Definitely closer in color than the lid shows. Just need to put clear on and see the finished product, but so far Im happy.
