Switch between window switches

What is the middle switch between the window switches? Is it a lockout for the windows? It doesn’t matter what position I put it in the windows work.

Is your car a convertible? If so, its probably the tonneau release.

Nope it’s a t top car. Oh and it’s an 85 Berlinetta with the digital dash and pods to control everything if that makes a difference.

Nope that’s the one the whole way at the back. The hatch release is in the middle of all of them and it has an extra small one for fans that was installed by previous owner. I know it has to be factory cause it’s made the same as the others.

Will try to get better pic tomorrow. Car is not at my house. There is no marking on it and is a on/off type switch.

Re: Switch between window switches

It's either for cruise control or rear wiper. It should not be in between the window switches either. It belongs underneath where you have the hatch release switch

Ok that would make sense. It did have cruise from the factory. It is no longer hooked up. It has been driving me nuts trying to figure out what it was for. The previous owner also added some sort of switch in the ashtray too. Have yet to figure out what that does. Time to trace the wires I guess. Thanks!

Turbo boost or smoke screen hopefully. You got K.I.T.T.'s Camaro half cousin.

Yup,... The button with the green LED is to turn on the CRUISE control, (in 84 it was mounted behind the pedestal radio.) It's a great switch to use for any add-on accessories ( TCC lock-up, manual cooling fan control, exhaust cut-out ect. ) because it's a stock button.

What is the aftermarket button next to the hatch release used for ??

Previos owner put that in for the electric fan. I might have to redo all this and use the cruise button for the fan. The cruise was removed before I purchased the car and I’m putting an aftermarket steering wheel in any way.
