Door panel size?
Hi all!
I was going to be making door cards here soon. I got the leather picked out and everything, but I dont know the thickness of the original cardboard stuff that came in our cars. I dont really want to use mine because its stained and super flimsy.
I also saw some videos where people bolt on their cards but I noticed my panel (on car door) doesnt have the holes. There was some thick black goo that held on the panel. Does anyone know what this stuff is called too?

The black stuff is butyl rubber. You can get it at any auto parts store.

Stock door panelboard is about 46" so it will require trimming, shaping, holes cut for handles, mounting trees, etc.
