Re: Power Door Harness

Should be pretty easy if you don't mind the labor. The harness is one piece all the way from the center console to the deepest reach of the driver's door, across the top of the dash to the deepest reach of the passenger's door. The worst part is the dozen or so retaining clips in each door, and fishing the harness thru the holes in the door jambs. I'd remove the dash pad, and the panels on the bottom of the dash, then drop the steering column... Remove the center console. Remove the front seats. pull the kick panels, and door sills. Probably unbolt the bottom end of the front seat belts. Unbolt the dash hull from the car (four corners, top/bottom in the middle, around the dash speakers) and pull the hull away from the cowl. Then you should be able to fish the harness into the plastic cross car channel, and snake the rest into the car.

A divided organizer tray to keep all the screws straight would probably be a good idea. Even an old ice cube tray can help keep everything organized.

Re: Power Door Harness

You could leave the pass side seat, seat belt and door sill alone,... no need to remove those unless you need a lot of extra space to work in. The wiring for the buttons/console run under the drivers seat so that seat and the center console gotta' get pulled out.

Biggest PITA is that the harness works it's way along a plastic channel under the windshield & behind the dash housing,... so you kinda' have to remove the dash housing - or at a minimum let it hang - in order to run the wiring as it should be run. ( If you try to just tuck the harness under the dash it MIGHT fit,... but you might also run short so keep that in mind if you try. )

Damn, yeah, not sure why I used the plural seat(s) and door sill(s). Good catch.
