Thinking about swapping mine. I know the firewall mounts and wiring are different. But the bottom plastic pieces that cover underneath like above driver and passengers feet. Will the pieces from older style dash fit the newer?? Thanks for any help

 

The passenger side will work on either, Im not sure about the drivers side. I think the 82-89 models had a different piece on the driver side than the 90-92 dash. I could never find any pics or other cars in my area to verify the older models. I recently went from a 90-92 dash, to the 82-89 style, and from the looks of it the 90-92 drivers side lower wouldnt work. Havent had a chance to verify it yet though.

 

 

Appreciate it ..might be more trouble than it’s worth I found a decent deal on 90-92 dash and my shell is cracked in center.. might be better off to keep same style

 

91- You say your dash is cracked?
In the center near the bottom?

Mine too! I thought it was from owner abuse till I Seen it in several other third gens.


Is yours in the same place?

 

Sort of ..mine is on the opposite side of the radio..
