Sup guys? Pretty new here, but been reading a lot. I introduced myself down in Southeastern Members section recently. I just acquired a 92’ RS 305 auto from my mom. She bought it new, and it’s been in her basement since 1996, only moved for emissions and occasional neighborhood drives and a few oil changes. I mostly just started it occasionally to keep fluids moving, build some heat in engine, etc. Been trying to buy it from her for years, and she finally gave in and simply gave it to me. It’s untouched and in really good shape. Anyhoo, here’s my question...do the window switches on the console, along with the rear hatch switch have illumination to them, or do they simply rely on the dim lights from the rear view mirror to be seen at night? My dad seems to think that they do have illumination, and that the dealer unplugged the wires to them when doing some warranty work on the car in 93’. I can’t find any info either way. I have the top off the console right now, and I only see one plug going to each switch, but it’s hard to see in there as you guys know. Thanks for any help here fellers.

 

Not sure about the rear hatch switch in a Camaro. In my Trans Am, it's on the dash above the radio and is illuminated.

The window switches on the console as well as the power mirror switch located between the two window switches are not illuminated.

 

Neither of them have in-button illumination from the factory
