speedometer not registering miles after SGI-5E install

I know there are some old threads on this but I cant figure out my problem.I reached out to those who posted them.I switched to a electri cluster from base with cable speedo.I hooked the pink/black wire from buffer to "IG " on back of cluster.Hooked black wire/with white stripe to ground or"E"on back of cluster.I ran the green wire from buffer to "S" on cluster. Then I ran wire from POWER on sgi5e to pink wire on buffer.Ran ground from sgi5e to black wire on buffer .Ran green wire from buffer to OUTPUT3 on sgi5e per tech at Dakota Digital.Purple wire from trans to SIGNAL IN and yellow wire to GROUND IN. The purple and yellow wires from buffer are loose.Speedometer is calibrated per tech at D.D.Needle moves but odometer never moves. Can anyone help.I appologize if this post is not submitted the right place/or way.

It is probably the gear in the cluster for the odometer failed

My guess too,...... when I used the DD box I removed and replaced my buffer entirely. ( didn't need it for cruise or ecm. ) Since the DD box controls the Speedo head and the Speedo head is working', it sure sounds like the Speed head isn't controlling the odometer like it should. I'd suspect the Speedo head and not the DD Box.
