I'm hoping to be able to go to the trans am nationals in August if they're still on...so I was thinking I should get familiar with stowing my t tops if/when I ride out with them off. I looked to the manual and it shows anchor points behind the rear seat. Simple enough. I don't have any. Wondering if anybody can shed some light. I searched but didnt find anything. New to my bird. Curious. Obviously I could fab something, but I was under the impression this was an all origional 89 350.
I know they should be there, as you show, thank you. It's almost like it's a new floor, but shouldnt be. I do have the rear hooks at the rear. Was hoping to hear it's possible to be missing them for some reason or another. Maybe I'm not as origional as I was told.
If you have them on the rear of the trunk, then the front ones were there at some point. It's likely that someone removed them for some reason (perhaps a new carpet, or a stereo box?), but the welded brackets with threaded holes should still be below the carpet. If you get your hands on the 2 metal loops and 4 screws, you should be able to find the threaded holes under the carpet and install them.

Thank you. Yeah I think that's what I'm going to do. Hate to rip up perfectly good carpet, but I'm not feeling anything under the carpet which is making me nervous. I may end up having to fab something pretty stout to handle that. Guess that's what happens when I'm the third owner.
The brackets might be hard to feel through the rubber backing and and carpet padding. There are some photos in this post of what they look like and where they are.
These were on the bench in my garage. I believe they’re leftovers from my T-top Firebird. As you can see, one is ‘taller’ than the other. Not sure if maybe one is a top mount and one is a bottom mount. It’s been so long I don’t remember. Maybe someone can chime in and identify them.
