Firewall insulation options
I just got started restoring my 92 z28 vert. The mice eat my jute upper and lower firewall insulation. I have seen the lower rubber pad sold online. I've not seen the upper jute pad anywhere. So I would like to know what solutions you guys have come up with. Also what lower pad did you go with? I'm not looking for the cheapest solution. Because this is a money's no object restoration. I want to do it right with the best materials I can get.

Re: Firewall insulation options
You could ask someone to take it out of a car they are parting out, or just buy it in bulk and cut it yourself

Re: Firewall insulation options
Do a web search for “molded firewall insulation pad” and they show up. It’s a bit pricey and I’m right now in the process of replacing my own. There’s far more to them than just jute padding, there’s a Mylar layer and it has a mass-backing as well to reduce heat and noise.
