Make sure the "upper" part of the console ( with power option button cut-outs ) that is made for 90-92 cars. The earlier 82-89 piece will not fit due to the hump required by the air bag sensor and the different E-Brake mechanism used in 90-90. Only 90-92 parts for your ride !

Re: Looking for center console for my 91 Camaro
The console "BASE" is compatible. Look inside the center console; lift the console pad and look inside. The 90-92 has a "step" in the upper console panel ( the part the option buttons get mounted to ) that allows for the air bag sensor to get mounted under it (inside the console). Besides that - even if you deleted that sensor - the parking brake mechanism was changed and the 82-89 upper panel will not fit over it properly.

Ya'...... There's a lot of people out there just looking to make a $$; and I'm guessing those are the people telling you their 89 and earlier upper console will fit. Glad to pass along accurate info so your not getting screwed over. Good luck with your project !

Much appreciated my guy but what your not understanding is the person i bought the car from had a bunch of late 80s parts on it INCLUDING the center console im wiring everything back and placing all the switches where they are supposed to be (in the top of the console under the shifter plate) 👍
