To make a long story short I bought a 3rd drag car that has summit racing seats in them. I absolutely can not stand them. They are horribly uncomfortable. I thought I could find stock 3rd or 4th gen camaro seats in North Dakota. 5 years ago you couldn’t give these cars away now you can’t find them. I was hopping some one here had some knowledge if the sliders off that seat fit any other coupe style seats. My car also has the adapters as well. Basically I’m want to fit any other coupe seats from any other car that would fit. I think it’s as simple as drilling new holes in the adapter but I’ll be honest I don’t know
As long as the factory studs are still coming up through the floorboards, you can use any seat out of any 1982-02 Camaro/Firebird with no modifications to mounting. You may have to wire in power though if you decide to go with power seats, if you don't already have it in the factory harness.
If you can find them 4th gen seats are really hard to beat. Also, they should be in better condition than 3rd gen seats since they are newer. I have installed two sets in 3rd gens and I loved them. Leather is great.
