I own a 1986 TA that has dual color seats. I have owned this car for 20 years and always thought the seats were just a little faded. The door panels and trim panels are all a dark red / maroon color. The seats are almost an Orange and gray color. I believed the seats to be CARMINE and GRAPHITE. As the age of the car and wear to the top of the back seats I was going to have them recovered to original. When I took to the classic car upholstery shop he advised me it was a RUSSETT and GRAPHITE seat. Before I have them recovered I want to know what the real color of the interior of the color is so I looked at the RPO codes in the car and they 60P 68C 68I. I have not been able to get a solid ID on them and when I called GM and gave them the VIN they told me they have no record of the car
Yes, 68C is Russet. And the two-tone combo was Russet/Graphite. The color for that code nowadays is called Dark Auburn. Same or similar dark reddish-brown, just with a more attractive name, doesn't sound like a potato.
