I have the cloth seats and I want to redo them but classic industries and hawks third gen seem to not have my color. Any info on this would be helpful. My seats are the deluxe regal velour rpo code AQ9. They have charcoal and that would be the closest to my color. All the interior color codes for my car show black. Would the charcoal be my color or are they not offering black. Their charcoal looks just like their silver

 

Your car has pallex cloth from the factory, not velour. Those seats kits from Hawks and Classic are not the same. If you want the factory cloth you'll need to get it somewhere like Larry Dennis Co or SMS.

Pallex is what Pontiac used in the 80's up until the mid 90's, it has little dimples that you can feel and see. Velour is more like velvet, it's plush and is more like what you'd see in a Buick or Olds.

 

Is anyone making seat covers with pallex

 

I re-skinned mine with leather and painted the plastic from grey to black

The AQ9 just means what style seats your car has not the color,are your seats original to the car or where they swapped out for a different set.And Classic does have the seat covers for your GTA in charcoal,the code is for the Regal Velour Charcoal F1009200657 for solid rear or F100921057 for split rear.Hope that helps you out buddy.

 

mine are original, black pallex which is not available as a kit as far as I know. But I did talk to thecovergirl and she will be able to do everything for a really good price.
