91 Z28. I want to replace my driver seat because of a tear. Can you swap the side lever & forward tilt lever/**** from a driver seat to a front passenger seat so you can use it on the driver side?

 

one's I've dealt with would not allow swapping sides for the tilt mechanism controls.

best bet may be to swap the foam and good fabric from one seat to the next. passenger seats are usually an excellent option for 'like-new' foam.

 

The frames are specific to each side, but the foam and covers can be swapped.

 

Sounds like a plan. Any trick to getting the foam & cover off with out destroying it?

 

Should come off very easy. When you go to put the back cover on put a plastic bag over foam first be for pulling cover. this will let it slide over easier. then rip plastic and pull out.

 

You will also need to cut the hog rings to get it apart and then put it back together with new ones. Get a good pair of hog ring pliers.
