Rear hatch interior securement idea.

whats up guys. messing with my car the other day and those annoying big screws and tabs. ive always hated them. i have new little mounting tabs things, my screws seem to be good but i feel like these things always come loose or just dont feel like they secure properly. a while back i ordered some of these quick latches for another project i was doing but got to thinking if i could make these work for the panels. think im gonna give it a try when i get a free miniute or two and see how it goes. you can also add a spring and washer to put tension on the latch part. theyre fairly cheap for the knock off ones.

what are your guys thoughts?

Have you considered reaching out to a locksmith to
get a second opinion?
Just a thought.
