1992 RS steering wheel

Newbie here! I have a 1992 RS 5.0, 5-speed. I'd like to get rid of the airbag steering wheel and if possible install a GEN-2, 4 spoke as seen below. Is this possible? Do I need an adapter? Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I would call JEGs and ask since it's not listed as compatible.

What are you doing with your stock steering wheel and airbag?

Re: 1992 RS steering wheel

Jegs or anybody else won't really commit to fitment on anything other than what they have listed. That's why I was hoping someone here had done the same swap. One post says an gen 2 wheel worked on a gen 3 firebird? I have a feeling it will work, it would be nice to confirm before forking over a couple hundred bucks. Assuming I change the wheel I'll hold onto the original, the car is really low miles all original so I'd keep the old steering wheel.

Keep in mind that some states require you to keep the air bag on the car and you won't pass legally if you remove it.
