i need four seat bolts - M8X1.25x30mm wtf are these pointed seat bolts called?
These hold the seat tracks to the seat frame, then the seat tracks fit over studs in the floorpan and are held down with flange nuts.
I know it's some kind of flange bolt but I seem to remember these pointed body type bolts that I usually see in floor boards & fenders on gm vehicles are a specific type of fastener. These are also hardened, like grade 8 or better. Not a hardware store or auto parts store item.
Also I can't seem to narrow my search results down enough on hawks to find it without browsing through over 2000 hits on their site search results for seat bolts, etc.
that type of bolt is called a flange bolt. No idea on what the pointed style is called, but you may not find those and will have to settle for non-pointed. It's pretty irrelevant once they're installed anyway.
If you do a search for M8X1.25x30mm black oxide flange bolt, you should find plenty of options... without the point.
