The seats in my T/A are showing their age, I’ve already mixed and matched to make a decent set and it’s looking threadbare again. My wife has scoliosis. We’ve been around 2 cars ever that had seats comfortable enough for her to road trip, a Jeep Liberty and a Kia Sportage - most if this due to available adjustment.
Before I go full custom
Would I be waisting my time trying 4th gen seats? Are they virtually the same comfort level as third gen?
Do you have a suggestion for modern GM coupe seats that offer more comfort and adjustment that can be adapted without welding?
Those actually look pretty close to a 3rd Gen firebird seat. a less discerning eye will never know the difference. nice find! (my BMW 545 Sport Seats are by far the most comfy seats I've ever had.)
If you are looking for adjustable seats that bolt right into a 3rd gen F-body, I have a pair of gray cloth Firebird adjustable seats (RPO 82D?) that have been in storage over 20 years (excellent condition). I also have a pair of Camaro Lear Siegler seats that need reupholstering.

I thought so too, they’re missing the seatbelt loop unfortunately. I’m hopeful the integrated seatbelt latch will fit the thirdgen belt.

There’s a fellow locally who has fabric GTA seats that might be my final purchase, there a bit spendy being that the bottoms need a little work - but nothing should top the ultima gta seat.
4th gen Firebird seats are definitely an upgrade from the Camaro. Try to find a Trans Am with the air bladders and have her sit in it and see what happens. If she gives thumbs up then you know what to look for. Be sure to grab the wire harness and air tubes that cross over from driver seat to passenger.
