Speedo and odometer

on my 92, it looks like they both run off the same input? So if its an electrical problem, if one goes out, so should the other?
The odometer randomly stopped spinning, but the speedo is dandy.

The plastic gears in the odometer are SO notorious for failure that there are aftermarket kits to replace them with metal gears

Do the Camaros have the same odometer/trip odometer setup like our 1985 to 1992 Firebirds do?
