My tale.. My old headliner was damaged & not repairable.
I had to purchase an ABS plastic headliner from Classic Industries after a failed search for a used on..
I did a test install. The corners where the sunvisors install are stamped as triangles. I had to elongate those three corners a little so that the screws could be installed. Used a drill bit.
I had it recovered by an old pro but I had to make changes. I had to complete the corners of the headliner by cutting & gluing the cloth, remove pieces of the new cloth that he layered & glued about the curved areas. Otherwise the headliner would not allow me to install the dome light properly. The headliner would not mount flush to the "T". I also had to add padding to make the rear of the headliner fit to close a gap.
The headliner looks fabulous & with a very good fit.
Before the install, I had to remove the driver's side upper seatbelt retractor to superglue a piece of plastic that fell when the old headliner was removed. Fixed.
From the day I purchased the car, the plastic piece that mounts to cover the retractor mechanism kept falling off. I heated the tail of it, bent an new angle. Now
it fits & stays attached.
I am attaching 3 pictures as best I could photograph.
Try and ignore the background stuff
