Currently debating whether to reupholster my GTA seats or buy racing seats. Leaning more toward new seats because I’d like to do some track time, but trying to find recaro SR3 or similar in tan is near impossible. I like the shape and style of the SR3 because of the wide headrest and feel the style is blends well with the era of the car. I’ve found seats on eBay/amazon from Takata and cypher but quality is suspicious. Anyone have any recommendations for a seat similar to the SR3 but in tan? Picture for reference.
I have a set of corbeau a4s in my car. They fit really well. I used the 93-2002 seat tracks that corbeau sells. They sit a little lower. I'm only sharing this because the a4 seat is narrow and low. These are both things that these cars need. I had a hard time finding seats that fit well. Lots of them are too high and too wide. Lots of companies make shaved seat bottoms that lower you 1 more inch. I'm 5'9" and am good w the standard seat hight. A taller person w a helmet would need the lower bottom. Also, finding colors to match your car is really difficult and frustrating. It's part of why I went w black.
Some seat companies will work w you at special colors and some won't. It's worth reaching out. The idea of spending 1500 + on seats in the wrong color and having them redone would be frustrating.
I know it's not a direct answer but I figured I'd share my experience and you could compare measurements of seats that are known to fit to what your looking at.
good luck

thanks for the advice and the recommendation. Those A4s are SWEET! I’ll give them a ring and see if they can do tan. I see their off-road seat come in tan. Maybe they’ll do me a favor?
First seats (all tan) are supposedly recaros but not sure if they’re knock offs (coming from Thailand so I have my doubts). Second set is a 2tone set that looks cool but not sure if it will fit in with my beechwood tan interior. Third are the Tanaka seats I mentioned before. Like the way they look, but quality is suspect.
I’m wondering if anyone chose to run black seats in their tan interior car? Not sure how that would look.
I've seen a tan interior car w a black carpet swapped in. The contrast was pretty cool. I used to have a a car w a tan interior. I kind of liked it all tan. The ones w the black inserts look pretty cool though.
I had an all tan interior, but wanted to break that up. I went with black carpet and previous owner had the seats redone.
That looks cool. I think this is one of the interiors I was thinking about. It worked out well w the seats having already been done and you adding the blk carpet. Cool.
I purchased a pair of recaros (LS-L) from the second link/seller (fkfactory). Not tan, but the quality was excellent and the shipping was free all the way from Japan! Reliable seller. This was before the wacked tariffs.
