Firebird Conteur Seats

What years and types of firebirds did the L/S conteur seats come in? I know they weren't labeled L/S Conteur but they were the exact same seats... anybody know what years?

I think they were from 1987 - 1992 Most commonly called the "GTA seats" They were available for sure in the GTA and the Trans AM, Possibly the Formula...

Common Name - "GTA Seats"
The Parts catalog calls them "AQ9 - High Performance Lear Siegler Bkt P&D Seat"
Some Owner Manuals call them "Ultima Seats"

conteur seats

This is them,ok ok these are beat to hell,I know but this is what they look like.Lots of adjustments for upper and lower side bolsters and lumbar and thigh supports.Even as beat as this seat looks it is one of the best feeling seats I have ever sat in.

Damn, those seats are beat to hell! What'd they do pour acid over them and then set them on fire?

But yeah, the seats you are talking about, commonly called GTA seats because they were standard, are actually called "Ultima" seats. The ultimate firebird seat. They rock though. With inflatable lumbar and bolster, along with tilt, the little coushion on front, and a few other adjustments. Great seats. I love mine. I just need to get them fixed.

no these are not GTA seats. The GTA seats have air powered lumbar and side bolsters. These have manual powered controls as you can see from those big black ***** on the side of the seat(there is another one on the opposite side of the seat also). This actually has one more adjustment on it than the GTA seats have.I have a pair of GTA seats also so I know what I am talking about.I was going to put them in but started liking these better and they are more rare also. The GTA seats have the articulating headrest also.

Too many options to list. ^_^ I forgot them.

At first glance they looked like GTA seats. But are so torn up it was easy to mistake them for GTA seats.

I guess they could have been made by Lear Siegler as well, but it does not specify that in the parts section of my parts & illustration catalog. They just say AQ9 Articulating seats, the later ones actually spell out "Lear Siegler."

Are the camaro L/S seats in a camaro worth restoring? I know where some are. What is a fair price for them. Is the CAMARO, CAMARO, CAMARO fabric still available. Thats what they have on them.
I will admit they did sit awefully comfortable!

Whether they're worth restoring or not is up to you. The material is no longer available.

I know that John in RI once had some nos material, which I believe he used. I also know that when I had my interior reupholstered, I made an effort to locate some without luck. Discontinued as I recall. Who knows though, that was a couple of years ago.
